Can you work with a photographer / Content Creator?
No problems at all. Stills are not so important to us and as we generally film from a far greater distance we generally don’t get in the way. We are more candid in our approach and less formal but we may give you some soft prompts to make you feel less nervous and get the best from your day. We would ask that you let us know who your photographer / content creator is at time of booking - this allows us to touch base with them before your day.
Do I have to provide the videographer with a meal?
If the videographer has been requested to stay beyond 1900 hrs then it would be appreciated if you can provide a suppliers "main" meal. Please chat to your venue or catering provider as generally suppliers meals are free or at reduced rate.
Do you hold insurance?
As professional videographers we hold full insurance and will provide you full details of the same to provide to your venue. Insurance includes DRONE, PUBLIC LIABILTY AND PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY
Do you have a formal contract?
Yes a formal contract will be issued to you prior to any retainer being paid. Only once we both sign will any fees become payable. The contract outlines the price you will pay and the services that have been agreed.
How do I book?
Simply contact us with the date of your big day. We will send out a full Wedding contract and a couple’s questionnaire which can be signed digitally. Once we have these returned, we will request a £250 retainer which will hold your date. The retainer offsets your final balance which will become due around four weeks prior to your day.

Drone is included in the price will I get a refund if the drone cannot fly?
Our Drone has always been included in our price and we will always look to fly however, on occasions, weather, venue restrictions or no fly areas will prohibit the flight. We do not offer partial refunds under these circumstances and this is explained in our contract.
How is my film delivered?
Your films will be delivered digitally and a bespoke USB will be forwarded to the address given to us.
How long will my film be?
If you have ordered the Highlight and Teaser Package, they will be a between 5 - 8 minutes for the highlight and 1 minute for the teaser. Extended cuts are dependent on the length of the service OR speeches. In general, though this will normally be upwards of 40 minutes plus.
How soon after the wedding will I get my film?
Throughout the wedding season during the spring and summer months we are normally busy. We aim to get your highlight video to you within 18 weeks and the full film in 20 weeks although we often deliver earlier. This may be extended in busy periods - feel free to ask on booking and we will be open with you.
Quality is important to us and we would always prefer to make sure your wedding film is perfect. We fully understand that you will be longing to see the finished film but would ask that you allow us time to give the care and attention to your film that it deserves.
We give you access to a wedding edit queue so that you are always aware of where you are in the queue
I want to use a popular chart song in my film is this allowed?
The use of commercial music will fall under copyright law and their use online is generally very expensive. Powerhouse Videos can licence music for OFFLINE use through the PRS (Performing Rights Society). We licence ALL of your ONLINE films using Royalty free licences which we obtain on your behalf. The above licences are included in our pricing.
There are aspects of filming that I feel uncomfortable with how do you deal with that?
Just let us know - we are so used to dealing with couples and fully understand that some may feel nervous or worried about being filmed. We will ensure that you are relaxed and we will work together to record those magical moments.
Will you capture everything?
We will certainly do our level best to cover every part of your wedding day. Sometimes there will be circumstances out of our control that may restrict or hamper filming i.e. Outside venue with Roadworks nearby, heavy rain or perhaps the videographer is between tasks and cannot cover two areas at once. Churches often have their own regulations to which we have to abide and it is often advisable to check with the church office on possible restrictions for both videography and photography. Churches often have restricted views - we will do our best to gather the entire ceremony however sometimes the church may impose restrictions that may restrict that.
Please note that throughout the winter filming hours externally may be reduced due to the light and that this may affect the level of film content - please bear this in mind when booking.
Can I speed up the edit process?
The majority of our films are edited inhouse - however if you require an urgent edit we can outsource to our editing partners. Prices vary but you should expect to pay between £300 - £400 for this external edit.
Do you offer smaller and bespoke packages? For instance Ceremony only?
Yes we can offer these - subject to dates - please enquire using our contact us on our website.
What is generally included in all packages?

STANDARD PACKAGE £1250
Coverage for the entire day with a professional videographer. The videographer will capture moments from bridal preparation through to at least an hour after your first dance. The package will include:
- Pre-wedding virtual meeting or (if within 20 miles of our studio) face to face.
- Drone footage. (Where safe to fly, weather permitting, our drone will be included within this package.)
- All travel and other expenses included (within a 150 mile radius of Exeter).
- Professional videographer for a full day. (Typically 0800 hrs – 2100 hrs.)
- Coverage of bridal and groom preparation (where possible). Professional audio dialogue (clips from the wedding vows and speeches, styled shoot video montage, cake cut, bouquet toss, first dance and dancing).
- Multi camera use wherever possible.
- Licenced royalty free music.
- Full post production edit.
- Full updates on your wedding film delivery.
- Bespoke USB with the bride and groom’s names and the date of the ceremony.
WHAT'S DELIVERED
8-minute highlight film NB - No teaser film will be edited for this package
Your complete wedding captured in an easily viewed package. This film will be edited, coloured and will include professional audio featuring highlights of the vows and other material from the day. Royalty free music will be licenced on your behalf so the film can legally be distributed online.
MID PACKAGE £1450
As per the standard package with the following additions:
- The ceremony in FULL with audio shot in documentary style (as it happened) - The film will have a short intro - the ceremony in full (edited, coloured and audio corrected) using 2 -3 camera angles where possible.
- The speeches in FULL with audio shot in documentary style (as it happened) - The film will have a short intro - the ceremony in full (edited, coloured and audio corrected) using 2 -3 camera angles where possible.
- The addition of a teaser film of around 1 - 2 minutes.
EXTENDED CUT PACKAGE £1800
The extended cut adds the following to the standard package and mid package.
WHAT'S DELIVERED
- 30 - 40 minute (estimated) extended cut
- Unlike the Mid Package an additional film will be edited to include materials used in the highlight and some additional material shot throughout the day. The material is reedited to include the ceremony and speeches into a single extended cut with commercial music / and audio.
- Commercial music can be included into the extended cut edit using licences for OFFLINE use. The opportunity to select your music will be given at time of booking - music choices should be selected prior to your wedding day.
- Powerhouse will licence material for you using a Limited Manufacture Licence (MCPS LM) for the music publisher and the Private Function Video Dub Licence PPL PFVD for the record company and artist.
- Films delivered online and on bespoke USB.
BESPOKE PACKAGE - PLEASE ENQUIRE

What is your most expensive package?
Extended cut package - £1500 Extended Cuts where ordered – around 40 – 60 minutes dependent on the length of the ceremony and speeches. 2024 / 2025. The extended edit is essentially a combined film bringing the ceremony and speech films together into a longer film. It should be noted that although we can edit to your own music - the licence used will only allow offline use only - ie. suitable for home TV etc.
Is it possible to remove some of the full package to reduce the price?
Possibly - it depends on the dates and the budget. We can always look to reduce the time spent on site or the production time but please contact us with your budget clearly stated and we will look to work with you to tailor-make your package where possible.
What is the most complete package cost?
Our top package is currently £1800 (current at 2025)
What is your deposit and when is the balance due?
Our retainer is £250 and final payment should be made by BACS no later that 4 weeks prior to your date. The procedure to book is as follows:
- Indicate that you wish to make a booking.
- Contract will be sent out that can be e-signed and will automatically returned to us.
- The deposit invoice of £250 will be sent out
- When the deposit is paid your date will be booked for you.
- Around 4 weeks prior to your day you will receive an additional invoice for the balance outstanding.
NB: Please note that your booking will not be firm until the deposit has been paid. Just let us know if you need more time to make that payment.
